| Information | Presently a Board member of a number of globally significant organisations , and an active mentor and coach of next generation leaders . Former Chief Operating Officer for Barclays global card and payments businesses, responsible for information technology, customer servicing, direct channels, and operations. Spent a great deal of time travelling ,with teams based in the US, Europe, Africa and Asia. I have over 30 years experience in leading change in financial services, oil, and consumer goods businesses having worked for BP, Diageo, Nomura, Credit Suisse, Santander and Societe Generale. My very early experiences in business analysis with BP led to roles leading Operations, IT, Customer Service, and I also spent time as a FTSE100 Board Director with Alliance & Leicester prior to the acquisition by Santander. I have had the chance to work around the world, and with different cultures in my career. I would be very happy to speak to anyone interested in a career in Financial Services, what life is like being a CIO or COO of a major global organisation, or the value of studying Physics to a career in business. |
