Information | Careers in the Atmospheric and Meteorological Sciences offer opportunties for mathamaticians, physicists and IT speicalists as well as "direct" meteorlogical qualifications. To work as an Operational Meteorolgust (forecaster) would normally require futher training or internships with a National Weather service or private company. National Meteorological Services are the biggest employers in most countries. Oppotunites in the private sector vary by country. |
Things I Wish I'd Known | At the grammar/high school I was offered no career counselling prior to applying for University. It is never too late to change your career path -probably much easier than back in the 1970's. Find the areas that inspire you rather than the "safe" career or living up to your parents expectations! |
