Professor Tom Allen

Master: 2011 — 2022

Tom Allen is professor at Durham Law School. He was educated in Canada and at London University. He began his academic career at Durham in 1991, and has previously held posts at Newcastle Law School and at the University of Leeds. Prior to entering academic life, Tom practised law in Toronto, Canada and taught secondary school mathematics as a volunteer in Botswana.

Tom has a distinguished research career with interests in commercial, constitutional and international law. He has held visiting professorships in the USA and South Africa.
